SCHOOL + EDUCATION BUILDINGS
Anne Clisby's exposure to Finland's education systems during her scholarship at the UNESCO Aspro High-School for Art & Design had a lasting impact on her interest in educational architecture. Before establishing Anne Clisby Architects, she honed her educational architecture experience as an Associate Director of Denton Corker Marshall, working on award-winning school buildings such as the Geoff Handbury Science and Technology Hub at Melbourne Grammar School and tertiary buildings such as the Biomedical Learning and Teaching Building (BLTB) at Monash University and the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
Her extensive experience in Educational Architecture has seen her appointment as a judge and critic for the Australasian Awards of Learning Environments and the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Education Architecture Awards.
Anne Clisby Architects aims to be a leader in the design of next-generation learning spaces and has been awarded an Alastair Swayn International Research Grant to compare learning space design and student outcomes in Australia and Finland.
