Anne Clisby is an accomplished architect and designer with 25 years of experience delivering award-winning projects throughout Australia. Her portfolio spans public, education, commercial, interiors, residential and urban design categories which have been recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects.
Anne holds degrees in both Architecture and Interior Design which she combines with her passion for landscape to create bespoke projects to benefit clients. As a regular presenter, panellist, writer and invited judge for Architecture and Sustainability Awards, Anne believes in giving back to the profession and ensuring future generations benefit from our cities and architecture.
After gaining extensive experience as an Associate Director at leading design firm, Denton Corker Marshall, and previously with Fender Katsalidis Architects and Woods Bagot, Anne established Anne Clisby Architects in 2022 to pursue her values and passion for regenerative design. Her ethos is to create lasting architecture that is both human-centred and connected to nature through landscape and environmental design.
Anne’s love for Scandinavian Design and the Australian landscape comes from her initial architectural qualifications in Adelaide and her experiences as a school student at the UNESCO Aspro School for Art and Design in Finland. She received a post-graduate scholarship from the University of Adelaide to further her architectural studies at the famous Aalto University in Finland.
Anne’s interest in educational architecture stems from her exposure to Finland’s highly regarded education system, and her love of nature and landscape design inspired her to complete horticulture courses at the University of Melbourne.
She is a Greenstar Associate and Living Future Accredited Professional, which enables her to develop a holistic approach to sustainability and regenerative design where people and nature can thrive.
